Driller (Rig Operator) for Service Rigs Driller (Rig Operator) Apex Well Servicing is hiring a full-time position for an experienced Driller Rig Operator. The successful candidate will have experience working in an exciting atmosphere, where you have the opportunity to grow successfully as an individual and part of our Apex Team. Apex Offers Our Employee’s: · Immediate Benefits (extended health care, Dental care, Vision care, RRSP match) · Sign On Bonus $250.00 · RRSP Matching Program · Accommodations provided (camp work/crew house) · Flexible Schedule · Full time employment · Coveralls Supplied · Referral Bonus · Years Of Service Program · Safety Recognition · Paying above CAOEC wages Key Duties and Responsibilities: · Plan, coordinate and oversee jobs for assigned rigs · Manage and coordinate crews with assistance from company’s field supervisors & HSE Manager · Promote the corporate safety programs and core values · Responsible for ensuring all operation meet or exceed regulatory and corporate assigned safety and environmental standards · Conduct incident investigations as required · Provide job knowledge gained through work experience to crews · Participate and conduct daily safety meetings during inspections and or visits · Assist in resolving mechanical issues · Monitor certifications and proper licenses for crew · Liaison between rig managers and the crew · Maintain a high level of customer service · Required to be on-call as scheduled · Communications with the rig floor staff and rig manager · Explain procedures to new employees and coach them in safe working practices · Ensure employees have proper training · Conduct pre-job safety meetings · Responsible for on job training and effectiveness of the crew ·Maintain a cooperative environment at the worksite and encourage teamwork in the crew · Plan worksite activities, communicate procedures · Ensure all worksite equipment and components are maintained in good operating condition · Develop job safety analyses for specific task (S.O.P) · Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the worksite · Conduct regular worksite inspections in accordance with the company policy

Requirements	Role Specifications: · Make appropriate suggestions for the improvement of health and safety within the company ·Set an example and provide safety leadership · Encourage employees to take responsibility for their own safety and that off their own fellow workers ·Conduct operations in accordance with company’s and the customer’s safety policies. ·Ensure that company’s health and safety manager is informed of all identified hazards, which cannot be rectified immediately · Ensure employees are briefed as to any potential worksite hazard · Ensure employees utilize personal protective equipment in accordance with established company policies · Ensure that injured personnel are escorted to the hospital or doctor if there is any doubt as to the seriousness of the injuries ·Receive feedback on the concerns of employees and ensure that all health and safety issues are addressed · Give feedback and positive encouragement to employees for safety initiatives and superior performance ·Ensure workers are aware of their individual safety responsibilities as required by this policy, statutory legislation and client specific rules · Ensure efficient incident reporting, investigation and subsequent follow-up · Hold regular emergency drills and ensure that each employee understands their individual role · Personally supervise critical and unscheduled activities and provide immediate response to emergency situations · Monitor and enhance the standards of safety meetings at the workplace · Investigate incidents to establish basic causes and remedial action · Monitor maintenance and certification of specified company safety equipment · Participate in safety meetings ·Participate in safety reviews and audits · Attend safety meetings and actively contribute at those meetings ·Participate in the continued development of the apex Well Servicing Inc. H&S manual · Ensure that third parties operating on the worksite do so in accordance with the customer’s and Apex’ policies Physical Requirement’s: · Pulling/pushing/lifting/carrying up to 70 lbs./35kg · Standing, walking, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, repetitive motion for long periods of time ·Must be able to regularly use hands to finger, handle, or feel: reach with hands ands arms ·Exposures to dust, noise, vibrations, cold/hot weather condition’s, petroleum-based products, oil and other chemical products are common · Must have close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus · Climbs ladders/ into equipment/vehicles Additional Information: The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
