Both Michael and Stephen have extensive experience designing many different styles of drilling rig equipment and performing hundreds of rig inspections.
Lunch will be provided and a certificate will be awarded upon completion of the course.

About the Presenters:
- Michael Hodgson, C.E.T., graduated from the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT) in 1997 with a diploma in Engineering Design and Drafting Technology. He began his employment with R.A. Hodgson Industrial Design Ltd. in January 1995 and acquired ASET membership as a Certified Engineering Technologist in June 1999.
- Stephen Mitchell, P. Eng., graduated from the University of Alberta in 2012 with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering. A member of APEGA, he began his employment with R.A. Hodgson Industrial Design Ltd. in February 2010 and received full P.Eng. status in July 2015.
R.A. Hodgson Industrial Design Ltd. has been in business since 1975, providing engineering and design services for the refurbishment of existing drilling rigs and for the manufacture of new masts, substructures, moving systems, mud systems, and rig buildings. As of January 2024, over 420 drilling rigs have been manufactured using masts and substructures designed by R.A. Hodgson Industrial Design Ltd.
